Politicians visit Summerfest

On Friday, July 11, 2008, The Hon. Brad Duguid, Minister of  Labour and MPP Scarborough Centre, Peter Shurman, MPP Thornhill, City of Toronto Councellors Norm Kelly and Mike Del Grande, Peter Kent, Federal Conservative candidate for Thornhill, and Lois Brown, Federal Conservative candidate for Newmarket-Aurora, attended the annual ACC Summerfest. 

On Saturday, July 12, 2008, Eugene McDermott, federal Conservative candidate for Don Valley East, and The Hon. Jim Karygiannis, MP Scarborough-Agincourt, attended the annual ACC Summerfest.  The two politicians addressed the audience of close to 2,000 people and were interviewed by Armenian Youth Television (AYTV).  Additionally, Vahan Ajamian, representing the Armenian National Committee of Toronto, presented Jim with an award for his more than a decade of service to his constituents - and in particular for his unwavering support for the Armenian Cause.
