Kem Show

The Hamazkain Theatre was abuzz with excitement on Friday, January the 16 when the ARFYOC in conjunction with Hamazkain put on an Armenian Jeopardy style game show. MC Boghos Boghossian kept the audience and the contestants entertained with various questions.

The categories were made up of Armenian Celebrities, Meals, Armenia, the Diaspora, and Armenian Music. The contestants made up of teams were Anna and Karen representing the Red team, Hagop and Larissa representing the Blue team, and Shahe and Hriar representing the Orange team. In addition to the questions, there were three special sessions including the traditional Armenian art of reading coffee grounds, Sarma wrapping, and a lighting round featuring pictures of old Armenian expressions.

The closeness of the final scores was evident of the competition of the evening but the Orange team with a score of 3900 were the winners. The Orange team’s supporters, the Badanees gave a loud applause when their team won.
