Homenetmen Scouts, Athletes, and Fanfare take part in Good Friday procession Homenetmen added colour and sound to the Good Friday Procession which took place on Friday April the 14th. Upwards of 800 people took part in the 3 km route in the early evening which started and ended at St Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church. Young and old alike walked behind a parade of flags to the sound of the Fanfare. There was a police escort and although there was rain earlier in the day, the clouds had opened up as Hayr Meghrig had promised and the procession took place without anyone getting wet. Once back inside the church, Hayr Meghrig thanked Homenetmen for helping turn the day into a tremendous success and encouraged everyone to support the young people of our community.
