East USA Games

Our athletes are back from a great trip to Washington DC where they took part in the East USA Homenetmen Games over the Canada Day / 4th of July weekend. We participated with seven teams and approximately 80 athletes and had a major impact on the event

. In Track & Field, Carine Yeghyazarian came away with four gold medals including setting a new record for the 200m race which he ran in under a minute. Carine was named Athlete of the Games. Congratulations Carine.

Nayrie Manougian won three gold and a bronze medal. One of her golds came in the 100m where she broker the current record time.

In Shot Put, our midget boys won the gold and our midget girls won the silver and bronze.

We won the gold in the junior division men’s 4x100 relay and bronze in the girls junior division 4x100 relay.

In Basketball, our Midget Girls placed 2nd, Midget Boys placed 3rd and Junior Boys placed 3rd as well.

Our Senior Men came in 3rd place. The Senior Men’s soccer team came in 3rd place.

Our girl’s volleyball team put in a great effort and will be back next time.
