Homenetmen Toronto Scouts Camp

Scout Camp, This year’s annual Scout Camp took place at the Ganaraska Forest Conservation Area from June 28th to July 2nd. Over 100 parents and friends came to the campsite on Canada Day, Saturday July 1st to visit the scouts and see their tents and handicrafts.

 A great Kebab BBQ was served up by the Scout Khorourt which was followed by a Flag lowering ceremony where Masnajoughie khoumpabed yeghpayr Saro Farra thanked the scouts for attending this years’ camp.

Scout Committee Chair, yeghpayr Hratch Najarian presented the Deebar Leader of the Year Award to kouyr Liz Balian for her contribution to her scout group and to Homenetmen.

The highlight of the day was the campfire kharouyg where the scouts had prepared a variety of skits, songs and other activities. Although mother nature held her rain until the campfire, the scouts did not let a little rain dampen their spirits.

Yeghpayr Jano Sarkhanian spoke on behalf of the Toronto Executive Committee and thanked the leaders for their efforts and the parents for trusting their children to Homenetmen.

Yeghpayr Vahan Tchalikian ended the evening with his words of inspiration representing the Canadian Regional Executive.
