Homenetmen Annual Picnic Picnic, wet, but still a good time. A little, well OK, a lot of rain did not dampen the spirits of over 300 people who attended this year’s Homenetmen Picnic. The day started off great with a blue sky but by early afternoon the clouds rolled in and we were caught in the middle of a thunder storm. The rain lasted less than an hour when the weather cleared up again and several more people arrived. The BBQ’s kept going the whole time. There was dancing, games for the kids and young at heart and of course all that great food. Picnic Committee Chair, kouyr Tamitza Sarkhanian commented that the success of the picnic was due to all the volunteers who helped out and the dozens of people who contributed both financially and with food items as well as lottery prizes. One donator, Sarkis Dabaghian made a $600 donation in his 3 yr old son Tavit’s name who is looking forward to being a kaylig in a couple of years.A great time had by all
