Homenetmen Day 2007  Over 400 people filled the Armenian Community Centre on Sunday, February the 11th as the sounds of the Scout Fanfare filled the hall to the grand entrance parade of the scouts and athletes. The day celebrated the 38th anniversary of Homentemen in Toronto and was honoured to have special guests including representatives from the Homenetmen World Committee and the Canadian Executive. A special appearance was made by 5 of the very first Toronto Chapter Executives who presented awards to 12 members of Homenetmen Toronto for their contributions to our chapter. The Canadian Executive presented 6 awards to our members for their long standing service and the World Committee presented 2 awards. There were scout skits and songs as well as Kung Fu demonstrations. A video presentation highlighted events over the past year including Toronto’s participation at the 8th Homenetmen Jamboree in Armenia and the 36th Canada Regional Games in Montreal. An exhibition Volleyball game was held at the conclusion of the event.
